Abstract

Impacts of soil and water conservation measures on storm flood and runoff in Qingjianhe River Basin of the Loess Plateau are studied with time series comparison method, of which the results indicate that the flood occurrences, the surface runoff modulus, the flood peak discharge and the runoff coefficient can be decreased by the soil and water conservation measures along with the lagged starting time of the runoff yielding and shortened flood duration.
