On the thought of “peaceful rise”

On Dec.10,2003,Premier Wen Jiabao delivered a speech named “Cast your Eyes on China” at Harvard University in the USA,which was the first time for senior Chinese officials to advance the thought of “peaceful rise”.Such a thought is the result of China's scientific judgement and deep understanding of the present international situation.It is also the objective requirement of China's rapidly increasing comprehensive national strength and a response to theories of “China's being a threat to the world” and “China's being on the brink of collapse”.Development is the core of “peaceful rise”;stability is the prerequisite of it;opportunity is the condition of it and innovation is the basic way to carry it out.The thought of “peaceful rise” has enriched and further developed Marxist theory of international relation.
