Abstract
Objective To explore the effect factors on softwood cuttings rooting of Polygonum multiflorum and provide techniques for producing large-scale seedings. Methods The experiments were carried out to study the softwood cutting seedling of wild Polygonum multiflorum on different concentrations of ABT2(ABT No.2 rooting powder),NAA(α-naphthalene acetic acid) and IBA(indolepropionic acid),different media, scions in different parts of plant.Results(1)Treating cuttings with ABT2,NAA and IBA,the average rooting rate are 84.76%,85.30% and 81.05% respectively, which are superior to the contrast of 49.25%.(2)ABT2,IBA and NAA being various concentrations can promote these softwood cutting striking root. The effect of 150 mg·L-1 ABT2 is best,150 mg·L-1 IBA is better and 150 mg·L-1 NAA is the worst.(3)In two mediums of garden soil+ humic soil + barnyard manure(2:1:1) and sandy + pearlite(3:1),there is no significant difference in cutting rooting rate. The average number of root, root length and root dry weights in medium B are all significantly higher than those of controls.(4)Under the same testing conditions, the average rooting rate of softwood cuttings are significantly higher than those of 1 year-old hard sticks and the rooting rate is up to 89.86%.Conclusion treating softwood cuttings with150 mg·L-1 ABT2 in medium of garden soil + humic soil + barnyard manure(2:1:1)The rooting rate and the number of rooting are best.
