Abstract

The shear strength reduction method is an important technique for slope stability analysis.3D Lagrangian difference method based on FLAC3D program could be used to calculate the safety factor of 3D complex slope automatically, considering the influence of joints and fractures, and the position and shape of the slip surface could be judged from the shear strain and grid velocity in the critical state. The shear strength reduction method based on 3D Lagrangian difference code is applied to the stability analysis for the slope behind the terminal area of a power factory. The results show that the slope safety factor is controlled by F1 fracture in the slope. The calculation results are reasonable and the method proposed in the paper could be used in the safety factor analysis for the 3D slope.
