Abstract

In order to optimize the connections among the trains from different routes at metro or subway transfer stations,a design method is presented in this paper based on the transfer efficiency of all passengers.A passenger transfer behavior microscopic simulation model is used to precisely measure the transfer efficiency of each individual and study the complex relationship between transfer time and other impact factors. With the target of minimizing the transfer time of major directions at the central transfer stations,a train connection plan is presented for the central station and neighboring stations. The case study shows that the proposed train connection plan can improve the transfer efficiency of passengers at transfer stations.
