Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical manifestations and treatment for elderly patients with hemorrhagic infarction and discuss the pathogenic factors. Methods From January 2008 to December 2012,146 patients with hemorrhagic infarction were given CT / MR examination within 4 hours, and another CT / MR scan were made after thrombolytic therapy in order to determine the secondary bleeding. Supportive treatments such as hemostasis, dehydration and brain protection were given to all patients, and skull flap decompression surgery was performed in 14 cases. Results Among the 146 hemorrhagic infarction patients, there were 128 cases of obviously symptoms ease,12 cases of exacerbation, and 6 cases of death. During the 4 to 12 months of follow-up,there were 120 cases of complete rehabilitation,14 cases of physically dysfunction, and 6 cases of language barrier. Type Ⅰ hemorrhagic infarction occurred in 86 cases, with no mass effect in the lesions area but punctate density in the contour. Type Ⅱ hemorrhagic infarction occurred in 40 cases, and there were mass effect and fusion punctate density in the lesion area. Conclusion The results show that the unstable blood pressure and unreasonable thrombolytic drug use are major incentive factors of hemorrhagic infarction in elderly patients, and timely diagnosis and rational use of drugs can reduce the mortality of hemorrhagic infarction.
