Abstract
Objective To study the effect of p38MAPK on the cell cycle of glioma cells C6. Methods p38MAPK was transfected into C6 cells by lipofectin. Expression of p38MAPK was detected by immunocytochemical technique. The effect of p38MAPK on the cell morphology, adhesion and cell cycle was studied by HE staining, flow cytometry and TUNEL. Results In the pCMV5-p38MAPK group, p38MAPK was positively expressed, while the cell morphology changed, the adhesion ability decreased, phase G_1 percentage increased, phases S and G_2 percentage decreased, and apoptotic peak emerged. Conclusion p38MAPK can affect the cell cycle and induce the apoptosis of C6 cells.
