Abstract
Preparation of biodiesel via base catalytic transesterification from rapeseed oil and methanol was discussed in this paper. It was found that the products consisted of methyl oleate, methyl 9-cetoleic acid, methyl palmitate, methyl stearate, methyl 9-eicosenoic acid and methyl linoleate. The experimental results also showed that in the presence of 1.0% NaOH solution, molar ratio of methanol to rapeseed oil 8∶1 and stirring strongly,94% conversion of rapeseed oil could be achieved at 70℃ within 2~3 hours.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
