Abstract
Objective To explore the impairment degree and character of lung functions in silicosis patients. Methods The lung functions tests were done in 215 male silicosis(167 cases in stage Ⅰ,40 cases in stage Ⅱ,and 8 cases in stage Ⅲ) and 30 male workers without silicosis as the control group randomly. The testing indices included lung functions, blood gas analysis. Results The stage Ⅰ silicosis patients had mainly the obstructive function and mixed function, whereas the stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅲ silicosis patients had the restriction of lung function. Conclusion The impairment of lung function were obviously brought by working in high concentration industrial dust and the injurious extent was worse with stages of silicosis increased.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
