Cnilical experience of hepatic lobectomy for the treatment of hepatolithiasis

Abstract
Objective To explore the method and effect of hepatectomy for the treatment of the patients with hepatolithiasis.Method Retrospective summary was made on 138 patients suffered from hepatolithiasis underwent different types of hepatectomy from June 1995 to June 2008.Results None patient died during operation and the major postoperative complications were biliary fistulas(3.6%),subphrenic infection(2.9%),peritoneal abscesses(2.2%) and liver failure(0.7%).Conclusion Hepatectomy is the most effective treatment for hepatolithiasis.
