Abstract

Guyuan volcanic basin is an important base for exploring U-Mo polymetallic deposits and mining development in northern China.Based on the geological characteristics of the deposits, the study has analyzed ore-forming geological conditions, mineralization characteristics, and the relationship between metallogenic epoch with mineralization and Mesozoic sub-volcanic rocks with fracture structure. The study believed that a great prospecting perspective should be there if we prospected for strata-bound Pb-Zn-Ag-Au deposits that were overlapped and altered by magmatic hydrotherm in basement metamorphic rocks of the basin, and prospected for volcanic rocks-host hydrothermal U-Mo deposits in caprocks of the volcanics in the basin.
