Abstract
Ai Qing is a poet who experiences a lot of sufferings.In Ai Qing's early poems,imagery of suffering is principal pathway used to reflect social reality express his feelings.Through close reading of his poems,we can see that his courage of facing misery and his will to revolt against despair.A series of misery images reveal the poet's exuberant emotions and great aesthetic charm.This paper explains the background of his misery images-Ai Qing's personal miserable experience and influence on him from foreign culture,and analyze images of misery in Ai Qing's poems and his spirit of resistance.
