Comparative study on treatment of female genital herpes

Abstract

Objective To find a practical therapy for treatment of female genital herpes. Methods Confirmed female genital herpes patients were randomly divided into group A,B,C,D,each consisted of 152,132,142 and 139 cases.. Those in Grop A were treated with acyclovir tablets; Group B were treated with famciclovir tablets; Group C with valaciclovir tablets amd Group D with valaciclovir. Results After a year of continuous treatment and another year of observation the total effective rates in,A group of 152 cases,the total effective rate in Group A,B,C and D were 51.97%,85.60%,83.80% and 59.71%. S. The effective rates in Group B and C were significantly higher (P0.01). Conclusion Famciclovir tablets is effective and safe for treatment of female genital herpes and worthwhile for clinical popularization .
