Europium complex with citric acid and 1,10-phenanthroline has been synthesized Many advanced approaches,such as IR spectra,TG and DTA analysis and fluorescence spectra,have been used to study its composition,structure and luminescence properties.It is found that the efficiency of energy transfer in ternary rare earth complex is improved and the intensity of fluorescence is enhanced when the second ligand is introduced in the complex
