How to Improve the Students' Ability of Creative Thinking in the Teaching of College English

This paper analyzes what creative thinking is ,and proposes four methods to improve the colleges students' creative thinking.They are to stimulate the students' creative thinking by designing some special steps and making teaching plans,to direct their creative thinking by asking some skillful questions and encouraging the students to question in class,to develop their creative thinking by enlivening the classroom atmosphere and cooperating in class,and to enrich their creative thinking by perfecting English teachers' personality and furthering their self-study.
