Abstract

Oil whip is one of the problems that causes mechanical and electric device failures. In this paper we discuss the characteristics of oil whip, and the method to detect oil whip and to avoid the occurence of oil whip, so as to raise the effectiveness and working life, and decrease the maintenance time of the mechanical and electric device.
