Operation of village autonomy system and impact to China's democratic politics

The rural village self-government system which began in eighties of the 20th century is an important aspect of democratic politics with Chinese characteristics.Under the dual role of national legislation promotion and farmers' own practice,this grass-roots democratic institutions in promoting the development of Chinese-style democracy has played an important role.But this institutional innovation which arises from a specific period of time(new and old system during the transition period),under the special background(after the establishment of an independent economic status of farmers,they have the request to maintain their own economic interests of profit) comes from spontaneity of farmers.All those are worth being concerned: what will it affect the level of our national political system,and how to view the emergence of some new phenomena,the new situation and its impact on China's democratization process which arised in the operation of current system of village autonomy.So it is necessary to make some theoretical analysis and discussion by combining the practice of China's village autonomy system.
