An Empirical Analysis on the Regional Disparity of Efficiency and Factor in China's Logistics——Based on DEA and Tobit Model

Abstract

The author uses DEA(data envelopment analyze) model and Tobit model to evaluate the Regional Disparity of Efficiency and Factor in China's Logistics.Basing on the analyzing of different views,the author makes the following conclusions: China's logistics industry as a whole is largely inefficient;China's regional differences in the efficiency of the logistics industry has been gradually narrowed;China's eastern region is slightly higher than the western region;The utilization of logistics resource,regional market level and the importance of port logistics in the regional development are the most factors which influence the efficiency of the logistics industry.Finally,some basic suggestions on developing logistics industry are given.
