Abstract
Objective To explore the value of Doppler tissue imaging (DTI) in assessing the left ventricular diastolic func- tion of patients with essential hypertension(EH).Methods 36 cases normotensive and 27 cases hypertensive Patients[ 15 Pa- tients with left ventinculer hypertrophy (LVH) and 12 Patients without left ventinculer hypertrophy (non-LVH)] Mitral annular velocity in early diastole(Ea) and late diastole(Aa) and Ea/Aa in normal and hypertensive Patient by DTI were studied and also mitral inflow velocity E,Aand E/Aby Doppler flow imaging were detected. Results Ea、Aa,Ea/Aa were related with age in normal person while the relations were poor in hypertensive Patients; The E、E/A、Ea、Ea/Aa of hypertensive Patient in non- LVH and LVH were lower than normotensive(P0.05);NO significant difference was noted between the E、E/A of the non- LVH and LVH (P0.05).the Ea、Ea/Aa of Patients with LVH were lower than those of non-LVH (P0.05).Conclusion Doppler tissue imaging can quantify the changes of hypertensive Patients mitral annular velocity and evaluate the severity of left ventricular diastolic functio.
