Abstract

In this paper,the effects of particle size on thermodynamic properties for adsorption of benzene on nanometer magnesium oxide were studied.The experimental results showed that there were remarkable effects of nanoparticle size on the standard adsorption equilibrium constant,the change in standard molar adsorption Gibbs free energy,the change in standard molar adsorption enthalpy and the change in standard molar adsorption entropy.With the decreasing of particle size,the standard adsorption equilibrium constant increases,while the change in standard molar adsorption Gibbs free energy,the change in standard molar adsorption enthalpy and the change in standard molar adsorption entropy decrease.
