Abstract
As the mainstay, Chinese traditional culture was Confucianism had the distinction of political identity, characterized by the consciousness of adoring sages and ideal of good emperor. The supremacy of emperors and male elders' power and principles of moral was the main value structure of Chinese traditional political culture of which the mainstay was Confucianism. Confucianism had been turned into an ideology in Han Dynasty, the value structure of which was a continuation of the Pre-Qin Confucianism. Thus the traditional political culture mainly composed by Confucianism instead of containing any modern elements. Confucianism was reasonable in some scale in Chinese history, but there were many elements which included some value essentialities were unfit for modern society, that was the fate of traditional Confucianism in modern society. New Confucianism and neo-conservatism or others are imaging a regeneration of Confucianism. All of these attempts are anachronism. Contemporary China needs to build an advanced culture which contains modern ideals, has essentialities of justification and humanity. Therewithal an imbibition with comment is necessary.
