Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of NOM by catalytic ozonation,FeOOH,MgO and CeO2 were used as catalysts to enhance the ozonation of natural organic matter in the filtered water. The results showed that the UV254 value of the filtered water was reduced significantly by the ozonation with ozone alone, but the variation of DOC value was not obvious.O3/FeOOH could improve the removal of the DOC.Although cerium oxide behaves poor catalytic oxidation efficiency of NOM,the use of cerium oxide in catalytic ozonation after ozone alone could significantly increase the removal of the UV254 and DOC.So,ozone alone combined with the catalytic oxidations would be the development direction of advanced ozonation processes.
