Abstract
The mechanism of the truss supporting loose roof is studied through physical simulation tests and universal distinct element numerical simulation calculation. The results of research demonstrate two arches are appeared in roof. The horizontal stress of the second arch is larger than the first arch. Pressure obviously dropped up and down at each arch. The results also showed the truss' forces are little and loose roof is stability in the condition of truss supporting. The supporting effect is very reality.10figs.,7refs.
