Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy of three internal fixation treatments for elderly intertrochantericl fractures. Methods Collected during May 2006 and May 2010,cases treated with intertrochanteric fracture with dynamic hip screw( DHS),proximal femoral rotation intramedullary nail( PFNA),proximal femur anatomic locking plate( PF-LCP) were retrospectively analyzed and the operation time, blood loss, drainage amount, fracture healing time, postoperative complications and Harris score of the three methods were compared. Results All cases were followed up for 12-18 months( average 14. 6 months),no case was lost in the follow-up,all three groups of patients achieved osseous healing, the good result rate of PF-LCP group was 94. 7%,higher than PFNA group and DHS group, and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05),PF-LCP complications was less than DHS and PFNA group, but the difference was not statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion PF-LCP compared with the other two methods has the advantages of simple operation, excellent rate higher, short operation time, less bleeding, and fewer complications, which is an ideal method for the treatment of elderly intertrochanteric fractures.
