Abstract

Objective To analyze the epidemiological and etiological characteristics of influenza in Huludao and provide evidence for the control and prevention of influenza. Methods From September 2009 to March 2010,epidemiological and etiological surveillances of influenza were conducted by using the influenza surveillance system. Results The average proportion of outpatient visit for influenza-like illness(ILI) was 4.93%,reaching its peak from week 43 to 45 in 2009.ILI mainly occurred in age group under 15 years. The positive rate of influenza virus was 38.86%,Influenza A(H1N1) virus was predominant, accounting for 55.73%.Conclusion The pandemic Influenza A(H1N1) resulted in the fluctuation of influenza incidence, the intensity of epidemic might be related with the virus types and herd immunity. It is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control of influenza among adolescents and children.
