Discussion on Geological Features and Ore-prospecting of Xilaokou Gold Deposit in Rushan

Abstract

Xilaokou gold deposit is located in the northern edge of Jiaolai basin.The main strata are Paleoproterozoic Jingshan Group and Mesozoic Laiyang Group.Magma activity of Yanshan Period is the main.The structures relates to gold mineralization are complex.Surface mineralization and alteration can be found everywhere,it makes ore-prospecting difficult.By summarizing the geological feature of this area,The regional structure relates to gold mineralization can be divided into two types,namely interstratified sliding structure belt and tensile fracture belt of upper plate.The ore-prospecting thinking is put in good order.Discussion on future exploration is carried out.
