Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between creatine kinase isoenzyme-MB(CK-MB)and heart-type fatty acid binding protein(H-FABP)in patients with cardiac chest pain. Methods Totally 450 patients of Han,Uygur and other minorities with acute chest pain occurred within 12h and with at least 30 min continuity were admitted as the subjects. The blood was sampled as soon as they were admitted.H-FABP detection kit and Beckman Coulter DC-800 automatic biological chemical detectors were used to detect H-FABP,CK-MB and other myocardial markers. The Pearson contingency coefficients of H-FABP and CK-MB of different nationalities and at different time windows were calculated, and the correlation between H-FABP and CK-MB was compared. Results H-FABP and CK-MB for all the patients were positively correlated, with significant difference(Pearson contingency coefficient r=0.7062).H-FABP and CK-MB within 6h was positively correlated(r=0.6594),so were H-FABP and CK-MB at 6-12h(r=0.8067),H-FABP and CK-MB for Han patients(r=0.8974),H-FABP and CK-MB for Uygur patients(r=0.6715),and H-FABP and CK-MB for other minorities(r=0.4234),all with a significant difference. Conclusion There is significant correlation between H-FABP and CK-MB within 0-12 hours in patients of all nationalities with cardiac chest pain. Conclusion There is significant difference between H-FABP and CK-MB in all patients with chest pain within 0-12 hours.
