Abstract
Along with the rapid progress of the Internet and the chip technology, the embedded operating system is becoming the current hot spot of research. This paper,in the first place, analyzes the merits and shortcomings of Linux-an embedded operating system. Then the paper anatomizes the reasons for the deficiency of performance of Linux in the aspects of processing scheduling strategies and interrupting handling techniques. To promote the real time performance of Linux, two methods are put forward at the end of the paper. These methods are 1) modifying the kernel of Linux to enlarge the real time performance within the scope allowed by the Linux kernel, and 2) proving another real time processing module outside the Linux kernel to assure the trait of high performance of response.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
