Abstract

The Taiji Mingmen theory put forward by ZHANG Jie-bin,the imperial physician of the Ming Dynasty,played an important role in the history.It transformed the idealistic Taiji theory of the Song and Ming Dynasties into the materialistic Taiji theory in medicine,which played a positive role in the development of the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine and the clinical practice. It also had unavoidable mistakes and defects.Re-recognition of the theory is necessary.
