Abstract

This article introduces the reason, principle and specific design of urban pattern in Caofeidian Eco-city, and the implementation of city image idea in urban design. Urban pattern structure has close relation with sustainable development. To carry out the planning objectives of Caofeidian Eco-city, based on research of urban pattern and Chinese context, SWECO planning team proposes gridiron block structure with medium sizeCity Image method is also used to evaluate the plan from visual and mental perspectives.
