Open Platform and Its Inspiration to Modern Open Education

Abstract
Since 2010, open platform has been one of the most popular keywords in the Internet. Numerous large portals have launched their own open platforms, providing services to developers, in order to better and faster extend their application materials and users, and finally to gain profits. At the same time, some sites have started to explore the field of education. This paper describes the concept, properties and applications of open platform and educational open platform and discusses in-depth prospects of open platform’s use in education. Then the paper examines the current situation in this respect and summarizes challenge facing the educational open platform.
