Abstract
A randomized block field experiment was arranged in Panzhihua to estimate the effects of three potassium fertilizer formula: special fertilizer for tobacco, increased potassium sulfate and increased potassium chloride on flue-cured tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.)leaf yield, quality and soil nutrient contents. The results indicated that, when compared with special fertilizer, application of increased potassium sulfate improved tobacco leaf yield and output value by 2. 2% and 10. 1%,respectively,increased middle grade leaf proportion by 10. 0%.Application of increased potassium chloride improved leaf yield and output value by 3. 4% and 12. 2%,respectively,increased high grade leaf proportion by 5. 8 %. Application of both increased potassium sulfate and increased potassium chloride improved K contents and K / Cl in tobacco leaf. Application of increased potassium sulfate reduced total N content, increased, schmuck's value in tobacco leaf. Application of increased potassium chloride increased total N content, decreased schmuck's value. Cl contents both in soil and in tobacco leaf were quite low in this study. Application of both increased potassium sulfate and increased potassium chloride improved soil available N,P and K concentrations. Thus, application of both increased potassium sulfate and increased potassium chloride in Panzhihua had good effects on tobacco leaf yield and quality and soil fertility.
