Abstract

Picea carassifolia,Potentilla fruticosa,Caragana jubata are dominant plants in Qilian Mountain. This paper discussed the effect of variational temperature and soil moisture on germination of three species at the simulative condition in laboratory. The results showed that soil moisture was the most important factor for germination of Picea carassifolia and Potentilla fruticosa, whose germination capacity and index were improved remarkably when the soil moisture was 22%. And enhancive rainfall would benefit for their germination. The proper temperature for germination of Picea carassifolia and Potentilla fruticosa was about 15~25℃.Lower temperature was good to improve the germination capacity and index of Caragana jubata.None of three species can germinate at 35℃.The difference of germination velocity of three species revealed their characteristic adaptation to the habitat.
