Seismic isolation technology

The theory of seismic isolation technology which is isolating the structure from the strong ground motion and improving the security of the structure or reducing the cost of the building is expatiated. And the application of seismic isolation technology including seismic isolation material and seismic isolation system in U.S.A, New Zealand and Japan which stand out in seismic investigation is also particularly introduced, and some suggestions about seismic isolation design are also made in this paper. There are some reasons that cumber the using of seismic isolation technology such as the wrong sense of the owner, manufacture technics and the design concept of the engineer. Several suggestions about how to extend seismic isolation technology are made in this paper.
