Choriocarcinoma Following Term Gestation

Abstract

From January 1985 to December 1994,71 Patients with gestational choriocarcinoma were treated in our hospital and 18(25.4) of them had choriocarcinoma following term pregnancy.Four of the 18 patients had a history of molar gestations. Median age was 30 years.Ten (66.7%) of the patients had pulmonary metastases or hepatic metastases.In contrast,disseminated tumor was detected in only 38.6% of our patients with other type choriocarcinoma.The treatment result depends on the extent of metastases.Patietumor with metastic tumor should be treated with early-stage combined chemotherapy and combined treatment.
