Abstract
Objective:To study the efficacy of entecavir in patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis.Methods:Patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis were randomized to receive entecavir(n=49) or conventional therapy(n=40) for 48 weeks.In entecavir group,patients treated with entecavir 0.5 mg per day.Results:In entecavir group,there were one case death and 48 cases lived;the HBV DNA loss rate were 93.9%(46/49),much higher than that in conventional therapy group(P0.01);the liver function improved obviously;the complications and readmission rate declined obviously.Conclusion:Entecavir can effectively inhibit the replication of HBV-DNA and improve quality of life in patients with decompensated hepatitis B cirrhosis.
