Abstract

[Objective] To evaluate the diagnostic value of treadmill exercise testing(TET).[Methods] 115 patients with suspicious coronary artery disease(CAD)were examined by TET and coronary angiography(CAG)and the diagnostic results were compared and determined.[Results] Among 72 patients with positive diagnosis by TET,there were 60 ones with positive diagnosis, the sensitivity was 82.2%,the specificity was 71.4%,the diagnostic accordance rate was 78.3%,the positive and negative predictive accuracy was 83.3% and 69.8% respectively. There was also higher detectable rate for TET in the multiple vessel disease group compared with the single vessel disease group(P 0.05).[Conclusion] Exercise treadmill testing is an effective non-invasive method for diagnosis of CAD with high sensitivity and speciality. Some parameters in TET are helpful to predict the severity of CAD.
