Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the therapeutic efficacy of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets(metoprolol-SR)on silent myocardial ischemic(SMl)and heart rate variability(HRV)with coronary heart disease.METHODS Seventy cases of coronary heart disease were randomly divided into group A(35 cases)and B(35 cases). The group B was treated with aspirin, pravastatin and sorbitrate, group A was treated with metoprolol-SR based on the aspirin and pravastatin. The changes of SMI and HRV were observed by Dynamic electrocardiogram before and after 8 weeks treatment.RESULTS Frequency and sustained time of symptomatic and asymptomatic myocardral ischemia were decreased significantly in two groups(P0.01 and P0.05 respectively)after treatment, but it decreased more significantly(P0.05)in group A than in group B.HRV parameters(SDNN,SDANN,SDNNindex)were improved(all P0.01)in the group A,but there were not difference(P0.05)in group B before and after treatment. No side effects were found in treating with metoprolol-SR.CONCLUSION There has obvious therapeutic efficacy of metoprolol-SR on SMI and HRV with coronary heart disease.
