Study on eco-agricultural tourism in Suzhou City based on SWOT theory

The present paper used SWOT theory to analyze the development of eco-agricultural tourism in Suzhou City.Experts grading method was applied to weigh the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of eco-agricultural tourism in Suzhou City,and a SWOT analysis chart was prepared.The results of the chart analysis indicated that offensive strategy should be adopted for developing eco-agricultural tourism in Suzhou City.Based on the results,some specific strategies,viz.,scientific planning and coordination of landscapes in Suzhou City,exploration of cultural resources to raise eco-agricultural tourism status in Suzhou City,enhancement of propaganda,rational development of tourism resources,subdivision of market,encouraging more farmers to participate in eco-agricultural tourism,improvement of infrastructure for eco-agricultural tourism,strengthening of policy guide,regional cooperation,etc.,have been proposed in order to accelerate the development of eco-agricultural tourism in Suzhou City.
