Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer,and the prognosis in patients with lung cancer. Methods The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer were detected in 60 patients with lung cancer and 20 normal controls. Results The D-dimer and plasma fibrinogen were significantly higher than those of normal controls(P0.05).The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer in patients with lung cancer were not related to histological classification, the size of the primary tumors or P-TNM stages, and were negatively correlated to the survival. Conclusion The hypercoagulability state exists in the patients with lung cancer. The plasma levels of fibrinogen and D-dimer in the patients with lung cancer are correlated with the prognosis. The anti-coagulability treatment may play an important role in controlling the development and prognosis of lung cancer.
