Abstract

The soil microorganism and soil enzyme activities were studied on the soil planting vegetables for 5 years,9 years,11 years or 20 years with plat culture method, colorimetry and titration method. The rusults showed that the amounts of the main three types of soil microbial population increased as cultivation age in certain range. But when the planting period was too long, the microbial population decreased. The activities of urease, sucrase, catalase, phosphatase increased with the length of planting time. There were no significant difference between the fertilization period and soil cellulose enzyme in this experiment. In addition, the application organic fertilizer could increase the numbers of soil microbial population and soil enzyme activities.
