Legal Suggestion on the Improvement of Food Safety Standards

With the implementation of the Food Safety Law and progressive improvement of food safety management in China, the food safety standard is on the way to perfection.However, it is still not perfect in light of imperfect standards system, low standard level, unreasonable standard enacting procedure and uncoordinated standards.In order to accelerate the establishment of food safety standards system and strengthen the rationality and accountability of the standard,t he concept of food safety standard should be changed with the public health and life as the mere standard; the interest groups 'interference must be prohibited and consumers'opinions should be fully granted so that the food safety standard can be enacted and revised reasonably; the detection should be improved by perfecting food safety testing standard and approaches so as to guarantee the public's health and life.
