Abstract

The relative molecular masses of inverse microlatexes polymerized in acrylamide(AM). acrylamide-so-dium acrylate(AM-SA)and acrylamide-(2-methacryloyloxyethyl) trimethyl ammonium chloride(AM-DMMC) inverse microemulsion at different monomer mass fraction ranges are studied. Mv ∝ w( AM)0.92, Mv ∝ w ( AM-SA)0.68,Mv ∝w(AM-DMMC)2.05at higher monomer mass fraction range(25%-50%)while Mv ∝ w (AM)0.57,Mv∝ w(AM-SA)0.58 .Mv ∝w(AM-DMMC)1.26 at lower monomer mass fraction range (10%-26%). The reason for the different orders with respect to w(monomer)for Mv at different monomer mass fraction ranges is discussed.
