Abstract

The cultivation of wild Osmunda japonica Thumb alone or intercropped with other crops resulted in high survival rate and germination rate of the healthy seedlings. The key points of the cultivation are selecting humid and mild-acid soil for planting, carefully preparing the nurseries and applying sufficient fertilizer before transplanting, strengthening field management and harvesting in time. The output of the fresh product might reach 11880kg/hm2, equal to 59415 Yuan/ hm2 of output value at the 4th year after planting.
