An Analysis of Functions of the Provincial Garrison in Heilongjian Region in the Ming Dynasty

Nurgandos-the provincial garrison in Heilongjian Region in the Ming Dynasty-was set up with the functions of offering amnesty and enlistment to rebels.Contrary to military deployment and political administration, Nurgandos was at the beginning an organized, systemaized and normalized organ offering amnesty and enlistment to rebels. It was the last years of Xuande Emperor in the Ming Dynasty that Nurgandos ceased its activities. In the Ming Dynasty there were a great number of guard stations in the northern area of NorthEast China, wich had close ties with the central government.
