An Approach of Interpretation for Several Typical Discipline Systems of Geography Science in China

The formation and constitution of geographic discipline systems are the results of geography development,and serve as the benchmark for future dynamic development and direction of modern geography science. Based on the interpretation of four typical discipline systems of geography science,we conclude that modern geography science is characterized by four advancements and six disciplinary development trends,such as integrated systematization,and requirements for further exchange of related disciplines. Otherwise,although we have obtained many significant achievements in the geography research field,we still face many scientific problems such as the imperfect discipline system,which requires a great number of young geographers with international perspective,diligence,commitment and dedication.
