Partial Anal Internal Sphincterotomy Combined with Nitroglycerin Ointment in Treatment of Anal Fissure in Stage III,IV of 90 Cases

Objective To observe the clinical effect of partial anal internal sphincterotomy combined with nitroglycerin ointment in the treatment of anal fissure in stage Ⅲ,IV. Methods The clinical effect of partial anal internal sphincterotomy combined with nitroglycerin ointment in the treatment of anal fissure in stage Ⅲ, IV of 90 cases diagnosed in our hospital during 2002~2013 was retrospectively analyzed. Fifty- five patients were followed up for 6~12 months. The therapeutic efficiency was evaluated with the standard proposed in the second anal fissure conferences in Hangzhou in 1994. Results Ninety patients were enrolled in the study. Among these patients,83 cases were cured and 7 cases got marked effect. No obvious side effect occurred and only 2 cases recurred during follow- up. Conclusions Partial anal internal sphincterotomy combined with nitroglycerin ointment was an effective therapy in the treatment of anal fissure in stage Ⅲ,IV.
