A Talk on Military Science (Part 1) ──Analysis of a kind of cultural phenomenon in the period between the Ming and Qing dynasties

Abstract

From the Song dynasty, it has gradually got into a habi t that scholars talk on military science. In this paper, the author tries throug h political aspects to analize the concerned mentalities of the scholaars in the period of Ming dynasty and to explain the relation between 'civil and military ＇ in the authority organs of the Ming dynasty.
