Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of antisense oligonucleotide(ASODN) targeting survivin on esophageal carcinoma cell apoptosis and sensitivity to chemotherapeutic drugs. Methods ASODN targeting survivin was designed and constructed, and it was transfected by Oligofectamine.Survivin protein expression was detected by Western Blot;apoptotic index(AI) was examined by TUNEL.Results Expression of Survivin in ASODN groups were significantly decreased compared with that in control groups;the AI of ASODN groups was significantly higher than that of other groups. Conclusion Expression of survivin may decrease in EC109 cells after ASODN transfection.ASODN targeting Survivin can induce apoptosis in esophageal carcinoma.
