Abstract
Objective To investigate the protective effect of confortid on rat airway injury.Methods Twenty Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups,confortid group and control group.Confortid group was treated with confortid at 30 mg/day for two days and 15 mg half of an hour before experiment.Control group was treated with the same quantity of normal saline.Animal airway injury model was made by aspiration of diluted hydrochloric acid.The general state of the rats,protein contents in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF),lung coefficient analyses and histological changes of lung were observed 6 h after hydrochloric acid aspiration.Results The rats' respiratory rate in the confortid group was more normal than that in the control group.The protein contents of BALF and lung coefficient in the confortid group were significantly decreased.Compared to the control group,the inflammation and pulmonary edema in the confortid group were attenuated.Conclusion Confortid may partially protect the airway injury.
